Pertemps Bees are into the top half of the table after this win over Moseley at Sharmans Cross where they have not had the best of records this season.

Dave Knight gave the home side the lead on seven minutes when he went over for the games opening try and Brad Davies converted for 7-0. Moseley were on the scoreboard four minutes later when back row man James Rodwell went over and on the half hour mark the visitors took the lead with Ollie Thomas putting over a penalty goal.

Two tries by Knight and centre Simon Martin saw the home side go 19-8 ahead but Moseley pulled three points back with a Thomas penalty goal to go in 19-11 down. 

13 minutes into the second half and the Bees had the bonus point with No 8 Leo Halavatau touching down and Jon Higgins converting for 26-11.

Moseley pulled seven points back with a try form Centre Andy Binns Bit a Higgins penalty goal and a try from replacement Rod Petty they were 36-18 ahead.

Moseley did manage the final try of the match with fly half Tom Hayes going over and Thomas converted but it was not enough and they left pointless. 

Newbury 15 (Tries: Walsh (35), DamuDamu (61). Con: Walsh. Pens: Walsh (2).    

Cornish Pirates 20 (Tries: Winn (40), Ma’asi (78). Cons: Di Bernardo 2. Pens: Di Bernardo 2 (17, 51).    

Newbury were narrowly beaten at home by the Cornish Pirates going down to a late score from the Pirates who for the second week running leave it late.

Tim Walsh put the home side ahead in the 2^nd minute with a penalty goal. 15 minutes later and it was level wit Alberto Di Bernardo putting over a penalty goal.   

With half time approaching Walsh went over for the games opening try and converted it to make it 10-3. The Pirates were level on the stroke of half time with centre Steve Winn going in for a try and Di Bernardo converting.

11 minutes into the second half and the pirates were ahead for the first time in the match with Di Bernardo putting over a penalty goal.

Just after the hour mark the home side went in for their second try of the afternoon with replacement back row man Isoa DamuDamu crossing the Pirates line to make it 15-13.

The winning score came on 78 minutes when replacement hooker Viliami Ma’asi went over and Di Bernardo converted.

Coventry 16 (Tries: Dixon (73). Con: Russell. Pens: Russell 3 (52, 55, 61).    

Plymouth Albion 11 (Try: Lewsey (30). Pens: Van Eyk 2 (7, 19).    

Terrible defeat for Plymouth Albion on the road at Coventry which sees them drop to fourth place in the table. .

In the first half Albion seemed to be on their way to a victory building up an 11-0 lead at half time after Regardt Van Eyk put over a couple of penalty goals and  a try from fly half Ed Lewsey. 

12 minutes into the second half and the home side were on the scoreboard with Ben Russell putting over a penalty goal. He added two more on 55 and 61 minutes to make it 11-9.

They took the lead with what turned out to be the winning score on 73 minutes when right wing George Dixon touched down and Russell converted.

The referee had a busy afternoon with five players spending time in the sin bin, three from Coventry and two from Plymouth Albion.

Waterloo 14 (Tries: Loader (2), O’Donnell (25). Cons: Monro 2.    

Earth Titans 29 (Tries: Tuohy (19), Jacobsz (33), Stewart (40), Penalty try (47), Smith (55). Cons: Whitehead 2.    

An away win for the Earth Titans at Blundellsands over Waterloo out scoring them five tries to two.

Waterloo took the lead in the 2^nd minute when right wing Dan Loader touched down and Ander Monro converted for 7-0. The Titans were next to score in the 19^th minute when left wing Brian Tuohy went over. Six minutes later and Waterloo went further ahead when second row Rob O’Donnell went over and Monro again converted for 14-5. Two tries though in the final ten minutes of the second half saw the visitors go in 17-14 ahead with flanker Stephanus Jacobsz and centre Shane Stewart scoring tries and Whitehead adding a conversion.

Seven minutes into the second half and the try bonus point was secured with the referee awarding them a penalty try and they result was settled on 55 minutes when centre Showan Smith touched down. 

Otley 14 (Try: Stockdale (31). Pens: Benson 3 (8, 13, 23)    

Sedgley Park 25 (Tries:  Roddam (2), Briers (16), P Jones (38), Hall (69). Con: Jones. Pen: Jones (57).    

Sedgley Park moved ten points clear of the relegation zone after this away win at Otley who remain two points above the relegation zone.

Park were ahead after just two minutes with hooker Johnny Roddam touching down for a 5-0 lead. Jon Benson replied for Otley with a penalty six minutes later and gave his side the lead with a second one on 13 minutes. .

Three minutes later and Park were ahead again with centre Chris Briers going over and they led 10-6. Benson made it a one point game with his third penalty goal on 23 minutes and on 31 minutes they took the lead when No 8 Matt Stockdale went over for a try and a 14-10 scoreline.

Park responded with a third try to lead at half time as fly half Phil Jones went in for a try but again it went unconverted.

Jones made it 18-14 on 57 minutes with a penalty goal and he made the game safe on 69 minutes when he converted a try from right wing Chris Hall to lead 25-14 and stop Otley from getting a losing bonus.

Doncaster 20 (Tries: Davies (7), Jones (39), Van Vuuren (79). Con: Gollings. Pen: Gollings (28).    

London Welsh 20 (Tries: Ulph (16), Ritchie (65), Cadwallader (77). Con: Ulph. Pen: Ulph (13).    

Second placed Doncaster were held to a draw by struggling London Welsh at home.

Doncaster were 5-0 ahead after seven minutes with wing Wes Davies touching down for a 5-0 lead.

The Welsh responded with a penalty goal form full back Sam Ulph in the 13^th minute and three minutes later Ulph went over for a try and converted it to make it 10-5 ahead.

Ben Gollings put over a penalty goal on 28 minutes and they went in at half time ahead after scrum half Ben Jones went in for a try. and a 13-10 lead. 

It took till the 65^th minute for the next score with the Welsh going ahead with hooker Chris Ritchie going in for a try. They got another try on 77 minutes and it looked that they had sneak a win at 20-13.

Doncaster responded almost immediately with left wing Donovan Van Vuuren going in and Gollings converting to level the scores.  

Exeter Chiefs 35 (Tries: Horn Smith (16), Blythe (40), Penalty try (61), Kingdom (74). Cons: Yapp 3. Pens; Yapp 3 (10, 41, 58).    

Bedford Blues 10 (Try: Moir (25). Con: Pritchard. Pen: Pritchard (29).     

Seventh placed Exeter Chiefs closed to within three points of Bedford Blues after this home win over the Blues.

Tony Yapp gave the home side a 3-0 lead with a 10^th minute penalty goal. They went 8-0 ahead when prop Joe Horn Smith went over six minutes later. The Blues responded with a try on 25 minutes form right wing Craig Moir converted by James Pritchard who four minutes later gave his side the lead with a penalty goal.

The Chiefs were back in front by half time after hooker Sam Blythe went over and Yapp converted for 15-10.

The second half saw the Chiefs dominate the scoring with 20 unanswered points. Yapp put over a couple of penalty goals in the third quarter before they were awarded a 61^st minute penalty try and left wing Gary Kingdom scored tries with Yapp converting them both as they secured the try bonus point.  

Leeds Tykes 28 (Tries: Taele (1), Holtby (10), Myall (67), Hughes (80). Cons: Hinton 4.    

Nottingham 15 (Tries: Jackson 3 (7, 58, 76).    

Leeds Tykes remain top of National One after picking up all five points on offer with this home win over Nottingham.

Leeds were ahead in the first minute when lock Pelu Taele went over and Leigh Hinton converted for 7-0. Six minutes later Full back David Jackson went over for an unconverted try.

Nottingham were back in the match on seven minutes when full back David Jackson touched down for an unconverted try. Three minutes later it was 14-5 with left wing John Holtby going over and again Hinton converted, that turned out to be the final score of the first half.

Jackson completed a double on 58 minutes to get the visitors right back in the game at 14-10.

Eight minutes later lock Kearnan Myall went over and Hinton again converted for 21-10. Nottingham refused to go quietly and Jackson completed a hat trick on 76 minutes to get them back within six of the home side.

Leeds sealed the win on 80 minutes and secured the four try bonus point when right wing Chris Hughes went over and Hinton again converted.
