Pertemps Bees today cited Rotherham prop Colin Noon for causing the injuries that led to Matt Long having 35 stitches inserted in two deep cuts to his forehead during last Saturday's National One game at Clifton Lane. The necessary paperwork has been submitted to the Rugby Football Union who have yet to decide a date for a hearing. The decision to cite Noon was taken after statements were taken from three witnesses on the day of the match and a video of the incident was studied yesterday evening. Phil Maynard, Pertemps Bees' director of rugby, said: "We believe that the video corroborates the evidence we have from three witnesses to the incident. "The fact that this is the first time that I have ever cited a player shows how seriously we view the offence."
