Grove for Scotland

Alex Grove, a product of the Bees development programme, has been selected to the 30 strong Scotland Under 19’s 6 Nations squad.

Alex Grove, a product of the Bees development programme, has been selected to the 30 strong Scotland Under 19’s 6 Nations squad. The 17-year-old student represented Scotland in last seasons Under 18 Four Nations Tournament and is now preparing to challenge the home nations teams, together with those of Italy and France.
Little has been seen of Grove down at Sharmans Cross Road since his impressive pre-season contributions because of his commitments at Rugby School. He has however turned out twice for Stourbridge rugby club in recent weeks against Blackheath and Waterloo. Stourbridge are assured of his services at the end of the current school term until the end of the season
Grove hopes to follow this with a trip to Dubai in April next year. The Under 19 IRB World Cup kicks off in The United Arab Emirates on 4th April 2006 with Scotland’s first match against one of the tournaments favourites; Australia.
