There are just two changes in the Cornish Pirates starting XV this week from the one that ran out at home to Caldy last Saturday.
In the backs, wing Frankie Nowell will make his first outing in the league, and in the pack fit again skipper John Stevens, who featured as a replacement against Caldy, is named in the ‘7’ shirt.

Very impressed with the maturity of this young squad.Who despite going behind in the 5th minute to an early Ampthill try they didn't panic and worked themselves back into the game.
Huge plaudits to the coaches and players who turned around a 2 point first half deficit to dominate the 2nd half and run out worthy winners.
Hopefully we can get a big crowd down to the Mennaye for next Sundays game against 2nd placed Doncaster.

Marvellous game and result. Just trailing at HT but what a turn about in the second half from the off. Took myself back to Jim McGrath in his coaching days at Pirates first half a little sluggish then the second half put on the display the team can produce. Well done Gavin and Paves for making these lads perform as they did. Next week will hopefully be another strong performance.
