Nuns 'must perform again'

Coach Mike Umaga is asking for a repeat performance from his Nuneaton side in another must-win game at home to Blaydon (2.30pm). Nuns began a run of four February home games with a priceless 19-17 win over Waterloo last week, and need more of the same against one of the sides they can realistically hope to overhaul

as they attempt to climb out of the bottom three relegation places in National Division Two.

"It's another big game," said Umaga, who concedes that tomorrow's opponents may be a bit of an unknown quantity.

"We really don't know what Blaydon will be throwing at us. I believe they had a number of Newcastle Falcons play-ers in their side at Esher last week in the National Trophy, but I don't know if they'll be there on Saturday.

"But it's down to us to perform, It was a good result against Waterloo - the boys stuck to the game plan and kept the pressure on.

"The players responded to what I asked for and did it pretty well. I think it compounded the loss at Wharfedale the previous week - we took on a team in the top six and we could really have beaten then by a couple more scores.

"The difference was that we played in the right areas of the pitch and it just made every-thing easier.

"We need to keep the momentum going - it's a big month for us and we must get as much from it as we can."

On the selection front, winger Aaron Takarangi and centre Alex Croft are both expected to be available again after injury.
