Tongan international hooker signs for Coventry Rugby.

Coventry Rugby have moved to cover the season long loss of hooker Matt Price by signing experienced Tongan hooker William Hafu.

Will aged 28 ,has played for the Tongan national side and has been playing this season for Rosslyn Park in National League 1, and has also played for North Harbour in New Zealand , knowing James Otutaha from there.

A fast moving, abrasive and mobile hooker Will feels equally at home as a centre. He has also played for the Penquins International side, playing with a Coventry old boy Chris Whitehead.

He is very much looking forward to assisting Coventry until the end of the season, and has found the club to be a most welcoming one and with his exciting style should become a firm favourite with Coventry fans.

Will is expected to be part of the Coventry squad away at Macclesfield this Saturday.

Yep, sounds promising. Following in the footsteps of 2 former Tongan hookers for Cov, Fe'ao Vunipola and Ma'afu Pale.

Not a very hard thing to do Kimbo. He only played the one most important game (Wakefield). Sorry to the famous Lowther if he reads this.

Does anyone know if Fe'ao is the father of the lad who plays in the England set-up ?

maybe a bit of a wandering minstrel but looking at his videos on you tube, will quickly become a crowd favourite
