Good news this gives everyone a chance to ask questions. I hope that people who post on here, have the courage to stand up and ask what they need to know. I do hope the club has a good turn out for this event. Let us all use this event to get unity back in the club and go forward together in the future.

I don't know why anyone would bother,if your attitude is anything to go by.

Yes Rusty, what is your gripe with Michael ? He is a club stalwart in my opinion.

Rusty just be brave enough to turn up and ask the new chairman your questions or crticise?
Mick is just echoing other supporters viwes on this forum.
Those that doubt will now have the opportunity to question those that make the decisions in this club. Go along have your say and make your mind up after that's the choice we all have!

Mick, I'm going to have to miss this event. I'm already due out the following evening and Her Ladyship will never give me a passout for consecutive nights.
Would you do us all a favour by posting anything of consequence on here so that we can be kept up to date?

Jon spoke giving a little of his background, and then to a fairly long Powerpoint presntation describing the structures and aspirations of the club.
The focus of the talk was on a circle of factors relating to success
Better players -> better results -> more support -> more income -> better players
...and how the board and executive committee are working hard on attacking all five aspects of this circle.
He was then joined by OPhil for a Q&A, which some of the other board memebrs also joined in with.
He went into quite a lot of detail in some areas, but not into specifics of the playing budget, except in terms of the increase expected next year, and intended in the following year.
About 60 people were present.

Good meeting and informative, shows the committee is well on the way to securing a solid finacial plan to lay the foundation to push forward. Also they are prepared to listen to our points of view.

Not rocket science, but hard to achieve. Here's hoping they can pull it off.
