Up and under: Luke Myring's Coventry RFC column.

A win and four points and we don’t need to say too much more about Saturday’s game.

As injury took toll on the side again we fought back from a 13-24 deficit with only ten minutes to go, to win the match in injury time 25-24 showing immense determination and will to win in the process.

After seeing the Tynedale side warm up it was easy to see how they were beaten comfortably by Jersey last week and I thought it would be a comfortable day for us.

What we encountered however was a very determined dogged side who took us to the wire. It was far from our best day but given the reorganisation due to injuries I thought the side did brilliantly to cement another four points to continue our good form of late.

Unfortunately again as it has all season, Injury played its part with boys unavailable due to injuries from recent weeks and guys getting injured during the match.

It really hasn’t been our year in that respect, the guys who have stepped in have done a great job for the team but the constant disruption and movement throughout the side has proved tough. Let’s hope that as we have had more than our fair share this season next season we can stay relatively injury free.
