Coventry Rugby team announced for Richmond game.

The Coventry Rugby team to face Richmond, here at the Butts Park Arena, Saturday 20th October kick off 3pm, has just been announced.  With Jacques le Roux returning home to South Africa on compassionate leave, Coventry Rugby have managed to draft in experienced No 8 forward Mark Hopley, Northampton Saints Academy Manager, who played last season for Birmingham Solihull.  

There is a start for Rob Dugard who comes in from the bench for the injured Bronson Ross, with his place on the bench taken by Danny Herriott. Heath Stevens goes onto to the wing in place of Steve Johns, whilst his place in the centre is taken by the returning Luke Myring, with Callum MacBurnie replacing Jack Green on the bench.  Overall there are 3 changes from the starting side that battled so bravely for the win up at Tynedale.

The Richmond side to face Coventry rugby has also been announced, virtually a full strength side with Tom Platt returning from injury as fullback:-

Well, I'm excited about the return of Luke Myring. I do hope that the balance of the team isn't disrupted by his inclusion, because it won't necessarily happen that he'll integrate instantly and that the team will be cohesive with him playing. However, he's too good a player to be left out when he's fit and capable of playing.
He didn't have particularly good games in the pre-season friendlies, but maybe the league situation, and the prospect of contributing to a winning run will be the motivating factor.
Wishing the team very good luck for tomorrow.

yes its good to see myring back in the starting line up...but find in hard to understand putting heath stevens on the wing..how many wingers have we got in the squad and still they dont get picked....let them go if you arent going to use them.

its a welcome to mark hopley from the saints..this is a very experienced player ..not a u21...he now spends most of his time coaching u19s team..had a spell on loan at sale sharks...good temporary cover for cov...well done my maynard

Is Mark a relative of Damien, or do they just happen to share the same surname?
Whatever, it is indeed a good signing for temporary cover and well done to PM.
But I too am a bit puzzled by the use of Heath Stevens on the wing, when it would appear that we have a hatfull of players in the squad who could have been put out on the wing - many of whom have not yet been given a game.

Looking good for tomorrow having Luke in the side is good, Heath I think has been put on the wing for his new found tackling skills, and having Mark Hopley as a temporary replacement for Jaques and Mr Tibbs is a bit of a coup, looking forward to it, C'MON COV.

I agree Zinzanh, looks a great line up, i missed the lasy home game but am definitely looking forward to tommorow.
The side seeems to be coming together just nicely winking smiley

I was hoping to come over for this, but then found out I was working tomorrow night.
Now I'm told I'm NOT working! Too late to sort out the trip though now.
