Coventry Rugby are delighted to announce that two members of their key squad for this season Cliffie Hodgson and Tom Poole have both re-signed for the forthcoming new season 2014/15.

Prolific points scorer Cliffie  Hodgson  currently the league’s leading points scorer on 307 still with 5 games to play, has pledged his  support once again for Coventry Rugby as he will start his third season with the club. Coventry Rugby have managed to fight off  the attentions of at least two higher level teams both believed to be from the Championship , and in retaining such a key  and influential player  Coventry Rugby are making their intentions clear for their tilt at the title next season.

Aged 24 Cliffie, who is completing his law exams has been very settled in the Coventry area and has been pleased with the progress shown by the club this season. Playing most of his games this season from full-back but also having spells as centre and fly-half he has scored 9 tries so far this season, and has made 22 starts from the 25 games. Cliffie is looking forward to be part of the Coventry Rugby squad as they make a determined attempt for promotion.

Lock forward Tom Poole aged 25 has been a revelation since joining Coventry Rugby at the start of last season having previously only junior club experience at Kettering. Tom became a regular in the first team squad playing mainly at lock but also a spell as flanker. This season  he has already had 20 starts and 2 replacement appearances ,scoring 3 tries in the process, and has much benefited from the experience from Head Coach and mentor Scott Morgan and new signing Roan Van Heerden. An integral part of the Coventry Rugby set up for next season Tom is very much looking forward to the club challenging for the title.
