LEEDS RHINOS v
WARRINGTON WOLVES

Headingley Carnegie Stadium, Leeds
Friday 1st June 2007, 20:00

Warrington Wolves will be hoping to kick start there season when they travel to Headingley the ground on which the Wolves recoreded there first ever victory in a play off fixture against the Rhinos last October. Since then Warrington have failed to live upto expectation and are currently in 10th position in the table 3 points ahead of bottom club Salford following only 1 victory in the past 7 league matches and that was against Salford in the Millenium Magic weekend in Cardiff.

Leeds Rhinos go into the match as joint leaders Super league along with St. Helens and will be looking to complete a league double of the Wolves following a 10-52 success earlier in the season at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.  The Rhinos are expected to field an unchanged team for the third successive match for the visit of the Wolves and will no doubt start as odds on to add more woe to the Warrington side.

Injuries are once again effecting the Warrington Wolves team with Vinne Anderson on the sidelines following an injury sustained in the Wolves 12-40 home defeat to St. Helens. However, the long term injured Simon Grix will make his return to the Wolves team following an injury picked up in the Wolves Wire FM Challenge match with Widnes on Boxing Day.

Prediction - WOLVES TO SHOW THERE TEETH?

Leeds fans will no doubt fancy themselves to post a record scoreline against the Wolves on Friday night, but against the odds Warrington have won twice at Leeds and i hope they can make it a third time come Friday. I feel that another defeat on Friday will signal the end of Paul Cullens role as Head Coach at Warrington. It will be tight but i think Wire will come good in the end.
