Huddersfield Giants v Warrington Wolves
Sunday 8th July 2007, 15:00
Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield
Warrington Wolves travel to the Galpharm Stadium on Sunday looking to avenge the 18-26 home defeat to Huddersfield earlier in the season and pull away from the drop zone. Following the Wolves away defeat to Catalans, Warrington now find themselves 10th in the Super League table only 3 points ahead of bottom placed Salford who the Wolves meet twice in the coming weeks before the end of the season.
Warrington are in a real crisis after only 2 victories in the past 10 matches and defeat on Sunday against the Giants would no doubt see the end of the Cullen era at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Following the capture of Adrian Morley from Sydney Roosters, Vinnie Anderson from St. Helens and Paul Johnson from Bradford during the off season, indications were that the Wolves should be pushing for a top 4 spot in the Super League. Injuries have plagued the Wolves throughout 2007 which has resulted in Paul Cullen being unable to name a fully fit team since the opening match of the season away to Wigan.
Warrington will be looking to record a victory at the Galpharm Stadium for the first time since June 2005. Meanwhile, Huddersfield will be hoping to restore some pride into the club following a woeful 54-4 away defeat to St. Helens last weekend.
Kevin Penny is a real doubt for the trip to Huddersfield after picking up a dead leg in the away defeat to Catalans at the weekend. Also set to miss out for the Wolves are Martin Gleeson, Mark Gleeson and Vinnie Anderson whilst Stuart Reardon and Paul Johnson will have late fitness tests to try and prove there fitness. Forward Ben Westwood is available after no action was taken following being placed on report in the defeat to Catalans.
Warrington Wolves officials hope that a large following from the Wolves will gather on Sunday to cheer the Wolves on to what they hope will be a welcome victory for the club and more so for Paul Cullen.

Prediction -
Warrington Wolves need the win more so then the Giants but the question is can Warrington overcome the often stern defence and powerful attack of the Giants to record a much needed victory for Paul Cullens men. With several key players still missing for the Wolves it is going to take a huge performance to topple the Giants who themsleves will be looking to gain some pride following the hammering at St. Helens last weekend.
Key Players - Lee Briers (WAR), Chris Thorman (HUD)
