RFU Championship Group C Play-Offs: Moseley v Plymouth Albion
Friday 9th March, 7.30pm kick off at Billesley Common, Birmingham
After consecutive matches against the top three teams in the League, Moseley will be expecting a similar stiff challenge from Plymouth Albion in this opening match in the Group C play-offs. In the regular season both matches had tight finishes, with just one score separating the teams on each occasion.
Moseley expect to field a similar side to that which played a fortnight ago in Penzance against Cornish Pirates where they went down spiritedly. Two significant changes are in the pack where Neil Mason and David Lyons both start at the expense of Michael Maltman and Dan Sanderson.

Albion see the return of Dual Registered hooker Jon Vickers after injury he will make his first start.

JON VICKERS will make his first Championship start for Plymouth Albion tomorrow night (Friday) when they begin their relegation play-off campaign with an away trip to Moseley.
The hooker has missed most of the season with a neck injury, but he has recovered at just the right time for Albion.
Ironically, Vickers' only other competitive start for Albion came against Moseley at Billesley Common in a British & Irish Cup match in September.
As well as Vickers, Albion also welcome back captain Sean-Michael Stephen, prop Ryan Hopkins and flanker Wayne Sprangle to their starting line-up.
There is also a play-off start for 18-year-old winger Jack Arnott after he impressed Albion coach Nat Saumi in the club's final two regular season matches.
After tomorrow's trip, Albion face back-to-back home games against Esher and London Scottish.
The Esher match will be played on Friday, March 16, with the London Scottish fixture the following Friday (March 23). Tickets for those games start from £13 for adults and £1 for children and can be purchased at www.plymouthalbion.com.

If we needed another example of why we are in the position we are this match is it,17-6 up and we lose 25-17 the players ought to be ashamed of themselves.
If the players in the team cannot get up for a game like this we may as well get used to division one rugby now.

Oh dear! I'm afraid that this is the end of 2nd tier rugby in Devon. Accept it now, the players are not good enough, the coaches are not good enough, the club isn't good enough. Albion, you couldn't win a one ticket raffle.

Following on the Herald website, it seemed at one point Albion were heading for the win. Just stated the obvious probably.
I will still believe in Albion, two home wins and it may look better.

Have to say that last night was a massive disappointment given the way the team played for the majority of the game, but the total capitulation of the dominant position for the last half hour was an embarrassment.
Again it was the failure to play for 80 minutes that has let everybody down - it seems that in this case complacency got the better of them - and having 'stepped of the gas' its much harder to get going again.
This seems to be happening too often.
Now I know we need this that and the whatever on the coaching side which at present we not in a position to acquire, but perhaps we need to concentrate on sorting out the mindset of the players so that a consistent performance can be achieved.
I am sure that the players are just as gutted at last night's result but ultimately it is in their hands to turn it around, but to do this they must stay focussed.
My body is a temple - I desecrate it every day

I'm speechless, not even a losing bonus out of a game we were winning - hopefully Albion will play for the full 80 mins on friday

I am afraid that the writing that has been on the wall for at least 4 seasons is now writ large and in bold! Albion need a miracle to survive based on the way they are playing at the moment!

if by a fluke we stay up what changes will there be for next season as i cant see us bringing the players needed or keeping hold of the good ones we have.
5 games left i hope we do stay up but on the basis of what i have seen its not looking good. Too much chopping and changing this season and money problems. miracle is needed.
