Willie Poching will captain the team on his goodbye appearance against his former club in the Tetley's Festive Challenge against Wakefield at the Headingley Carnegie stadium on Boxing Day.

Poching missed the end of last season after having a knee reconstruction and then announced his retirement from the game to join the Rhinos coaching staff, just like Barrie Mac.

Attention is expected to be aimed on new prop forward Kylie Leuluai, our close season signing from Manly Sea Eagles after he has had mixed reviews from many critics.

"He is a no-nonsense player who gets on with the job without complaining," said Tony Smith (head coach). "I am sure he will become a crowd favourite."
