Think this is going to be the toughest match so far and will be a real test for our players, hope we can put out a great side to cope with flatts,ford,hill, currys and more.

Josh IS in as a loose head, saw that he played there in midweek but always assumed he was TH only. Interesting!

This one might tell us a lot about our season! Tough place to go and some big calls in selection!! Daffyd to start in second row. Dodgy defence in this one would see us lose i think. Hopefully it will be better .

What is going on with team selection? Where is Big Dave, Jonny ,Christ and Jack. Robert v and Joe on the bench and Joe's kicking has been really good. Who is going to be kicker? Sale 28 - 21 chiefs
I hope i'm wrong

Squad rotation, Jack Nowell has played every game and has probably had to be rested due to International requirements.
Christ is only 20 and has also played three full games.
The lack of Joe’s kicking is a concern but I think Henry will step up.

On the basis that no team will go through unbeaten this is one I feel may just escape us

I think we will do well to get a point. Wayne Barnes the ref and I think Sale will have turnover field day if we always take the ball into contact and go to ground. I think we may struggle at the lineout and scrum. No Dave Ewers, Johnny Gray makes us a bit lightweight. Relieved Ford is not playing. We will have to win a forward battle which I think will be very difficult. Sale 32 Chiefs 17. I hope I am wrong. I think there may be several cards.

Jonno Ross isnt playing. Thats at least one card you cant rely on. 🤣

Love it ****** your comment re Jon Ross. he has time though as he will come on as a sub to add to his tally.

I thought when Big Dave went off last week he looked like he may have taken a knock so maybe that's why he's not playing this week. Quite a few of the guys have played in all 3 games so far and we have a tough run of games coming up (as, really, does everyone!). It look as if the coaches are just managing playing time but I do think the scrum looks a bit lightweight.

Not sure I can see a win here but hopefully they can keep it close - Sale 28 Chiefs 24

Managing work load of players seems to be something we will do more of this year. Dunne and Jenkins are still 18 stone plus second rows with two big flankers. Bonus point would be a good result.

Why knacker players out in a long season, we have able replacements that need to play if the season is to have some stability when the injury’s no doubt occur.
Dave and Co have put in a hell of a shift recently, and with fresh players back let them do their bit.
Always tight at Sale but I am positive. Sale 24- Chiefs 30 ( as didn’t know mid week games included score for fun )
This is a hard sport today, huge units giving 100%, the coaches and medical staff know that sometime the head wants to what the body shouldn’t.

You know what’s coming from Sale a very abrasive forward orientated game plan with plenty of kicking. Resting a few of our players is not a bad idea and giving the young second rows experience will benefit in the long term. Looks like a very low crowd and weather forecast strong wind and showers.
A very tough ask and we may have issues in the scrum so take a lbp.
How is Sam Maunder in ahead of his brother ?

Will be a tough game but we seem to do well against sale, even with Tom and Jonny in their side I can still see us winning. Chiefs 27 21 Sharks

I am more optimistic than most.
I think we have a pretty well balanced pack.
Daffyd will bring some athleticism and height against Jonny H and can put pressure on their line out.
We have 5/6 heavy carriers in our pack and 2 more to bring on off the bench.
Sale don't have as many carrying options and don't look as mobile but the Curry twins will target our breakdown. As long as they don't get dominance there and we keep our discipline I am confident we can win 🤞

I have a feeling Sale will be in the top 2 this year. They have recruited well into an already strong team. Who knows where we are! There have been moments we looked like our old selves and moments we've looked awful! I'd be happy with any points at all from up there. ToF will be looking at our defence last week and licking his lips. Sale 20 Chiefs 12 however if we play like we did first half last week we'll win!

Doh, forgot to do a prediction for the Bears match the other night.
Facing off against Jonny H, TOF and the rest will be intriguing. I think despite the great results that we’ve seen in the last three weeks, I’m going for a close home win

Both rather nervous about this one. As mommentum says we look light in the second row but Daffyd sure does bring athletism. A win to confirm 1st spot!

Thanks, thats how I got it eventually. Not impressive, i used my iPad to book and pay.

Sentiment was about equally spread between a win and a loss. The report in the Tele seems to infer that chiefs lost it rather than Sale winning but a couple of the readers comments seemed to think that the reporter had a strong West Country bias.

You were spot on CC with the turnover prediction, we gave away 15 turnovers, that’s way too much possession to gift to the opposition, 8 of those were by the backs !

Was down in Cornwall with PRTV more trouble than it was worth so caught highlights when I got home. Annoyed at the defeat, basically got caught with our pants down either side of half time.
