More Away Day Misery

Glucester's away day blues continue as Exeter leapfrogged the Cherry and Whites with a 24-14 victory at Sandy Park.

It was a tight affair with Jonny May and Val Rapava Ruskin crossing for the visitors in the first half with Jonny Gray and Solomone Kata levelling before Olly Woodburn completed the try scoring to give his side a 21-14 lead at oranges.

Even tighter in the second half with Harvey Skinner putting Chiefs ten points ahead before a last ditch pentalty from Santi Carreras got a losing bonus point for Gloucs.

George Skivington told the media: "When we got down near their try line we pretty much scored every time, the problem was we didn't get down there very often.

"It was a really tough game of rugby, very physical. We had opportunities in the end to be in the corner and we weren't quite accurate enough and didn't get the opportunity to strike."
