Vickery and Mercier sign new contracts

News filtered through Kingsholm today that Phil Vickery and Ludovic Mercier have signed new contracts amid speculation that the Vickster could be going to another big name club.

Vickery has signed a new four year deal ending speculation of a move to Bath or Leicester. Straight after the match at the Junior Cherry-And-Whites training day he said that he never would have really wanted to go to Leicester or Bath but he is jelous of the honours that Leicester have won.

News has also come through that French fly half Ludovic Mercier has signed a new three year contract. The speed at which these contracts are being sorted out proves that Nigelle Melville is will to keep a consistent side and challenge for trophies in the near future.
