Crusaders travel to the Warrington Wolves

The Celtic Crusaders continue their Super League journey on Sunday afternoon with a trip to the North West. John Dixon's men will do battle with Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in a game many fans have earmarked as a potentially “winnable” contest. The Wolves claimed their first win of the season last weekend at home to Hull Kingston Rovers.

Cru will enter every game hoping for maximum points - but even the most optimistic follower of Rugby League in South Wales knew that a long hard season awaited Dixon's boys.

After five defeats - in which the Hull KR away trip was the only hugely disappointing display - Cru will be hoping to break their big league duck on Sunday against a Warrington side who have leaked over two hundred points from their opening six games of the new campaign.

Jace Van Dijk will remain on the sidelines through injury, whilst Lincoln Withers is also unavailable.

However, Cru are looking to welcome top try scorer Tony Duggan to the fray; whilst David Tangata-Toa and Jason Chan are in the squad.

Despite hopes for an away win from the Brewey Field faithful, the bookmakers are clearly expecting Crusaders to fall again. A sixteen-point handicap has been imposed on the pre-match betting, whilst an outright win for Dixon's XIII has been priced up at 9/2.
