Cru hope for first win as Harlequins travel to South Wales

The Celtic Crusaders' search for that illusive Super League win continues on Bank Holiday Monday as rivals Harlequins RL visit the Brewery Field. Despite a string of injury concerns, John Dixon will be hoping his side can repeat their friendly win from January 2008 when National League Cru thumped the top-flight Quins 28-6.

This one is winnable. Harlequins currently sit 8th in the Super League table and have picked up eight points from their opening seven outings. However, they come into the game on the back of heavy home defeats to Huddersfield and Catalans Dragons.

Cru still have a number of injury concerns. Scrum-half Matty Smith remains sidelined, whilst Jace Van Dijk remains unavailable as his injury becomes increasingly long-term. Crucially, top points scorer Tony Duggan is also out meaning we're without three of our biggest names.

However, the Welsh outfit are boosted by the return of Danny Mapp and Mark Bryant to the match-day nineteen. Mapp missed Friday's defeat in Yorkshire after his wife went into labour, whilst Bryant has been unavailable recently through injury.

Wins for Salford and Bradford in recent days has left Cru four points adrift at the bottom of the table as the search for a first Super League point goes on. The away win is favourite at the bookies - but, at around 2/1, we're tipping Cru to be a good shout for the win this Bank Holiday.
