Player Survey: Harlequins vs La Rochelle
Hmmm... A curate's egg of a game - again! Some great rugby and some less than stellar rugby. Do I mark Mike Brown 5 for what he did right or 2 for what he did wrong? See how you get on....

Harlequins vs Sale: The Boat Is Big Enough
Bishop: "I'm afraid you've got a bad egg, Mr Jones"; Curate: "Oh, no, my Lord, I assure you that parts of it are excellent!" "True Humility" by George du Maurier, originally published in Punch, 9 November 1895.
Player Survey: Harlequins vs Sale
Well that put a bit of a shine back on the season, didn't it? I mean, offer me a score of Harlequins 42 Sale 26 before the game and I'd have taken your arm off. Why then do I still have a slight feel of dissatisfaction? I think maybe we're firing on 5 out of 6 cylinders and I really want to see Harlequins the complete package. But I may be doing them a disservice given the disruption injuries have caused to us running a settled team week after week.

Too Many Saints Too Many Sinners
If you’re anything like me, midday Friday is an exciting time. It’s squad announcement time. But it can also be a demoralising time. Many taps of the F5 key later and there it was. Such was the long list of players whose names were missing, I half wondered to myself whether a stag do or sking trip had been organised and they’d forgotten to tell John Kingston. Then I recalled they are not Thamesians RFC, they are a professional rugby team.
Player Survey: Northampton vs Harlequins
Well, another disappointing game. Disappointment because, as Jamie Roberts said, we should have won that. We had plenty of chances, they just ended up butchered. We weren't slaughtered like I initially feared when I saw the changes to the team this week. It wasn't just the number of changes, which always disrupts the team, but the quality of the people we were without. The result was we didn't play with any real fluidity, and it showed when we were under pressure or applying pressure.

So here are the results for the Leicester game at the Stoop on 23 Sep 2017.
Harlequins vs Leicester: A Youngster's First Game
It was game day. Harlequins vs. Leicester Tigers at The Stoop. Today was to be my daughter's first live game. She's been an avid Quins fan since before she was born; kicking inside her pregnant mum when the crowd cheered. That was in the good old days when both my wife and I could justify a whole Saturday "wasted" together at the rugby. Now, with two kids, it's only the odd game I get to see live.
Player Survey: Harlequins vs Leicester
Well, lucky I'm not asking you to mark the defence or attack coaches. The number of tackles missed and our inability to get out of our 22 at the end... Maddening! But you do get to mark the idiots who gave away four penalties for the first Leicester try. You do get to mark Mr Ian Tempest for his dreadful performance with the whistle, but I don't want to influence you!
