With the team mysteriously AWOL last weekend, it's an appropriate time to report back on the pilot of the new 'Come All Within Interactive Player Evaluation System' as piloted at the game ten days ago.

This exciting new system allows fans at the Stoop to provide instant feedback on each individual player's performance even as the game unfolds. Each fan is provided with a cumbersome remote control device on which the they can score every move in real time, on the open-ended Ryan Scale which runs from 1 (Aesthetically Dissatisfying) through 3 (Tidy) and up to a perfect 6 (How fine is that?)
Most excitingly, thanks to funding from our Hi-Techie sponsors, DOCK, the results are relayed instantly to the new Stoop Giant Scoreboard, ensuring that they are clearly visible to everyone sitting in block AH. Rows G to P. Seat numbers from 50 onwards. No, no, just lean forward a bit and half-close your eyes like this....no, not like that...like this....yes, that's right, got it now? see? see?.
The results of the trial were very interesting and really started to differentiate the players' performance. Lowest scoring on the day was Nate Wate's (0.1) with his Back-Flip (refused). Solid performances came from Nat Nomore's Swan Dive (1.2) and Dick Deputy's Barnet (4.0 Very Pretty) but the out and out winner both for impact and novelty was Bill Gellings for his triple pike slide-away (4.2). Here on Come All Within we'll be monitoring this new exciting development for the rest of the season.
Turning our attention on field, the team travel to Paris this weekend where we face hot favourites Paris Storm Troopers in the second round of the prestigious Tasse de la Plume de Ma Tante Handicap Challenge. Our handicap is 26, and hopes are slim, however according to the complicated competition rules, Quins long suffering Diamond Piranhas are obliged to put forward their best travelling support for every game, regardless of whether the team turn up, and no fewer that 4,500 are expected to travel by Eurostar on Saturday. (NB due to engineering works near St Omer, the scheduled train service between Calais and Gard du Nord, will be replaced by busses and Piranhas are warned that some minor delays are possible. However a new Song Book will be available)
Late news: according to the Official Site, the Stoop will be playing host to its first rock concert this summer, when the North Stand bar will play host to the legendary Rolling Stones (0.2 So not cool) headed up by the evergreen Mick Jagger still sprightly at 86 (0.1 Trevor Leota)
