Is there a better team to watch on the planet at the moment than Quins? We finished last season playing some of the most attractive and dramatic rugby ever seen in the Premiership and here we are doing it once again going 21-0 down and still winning 52-24. Quite remarkable.

Bristol are no mugs but once Marcus Smith came on and Quins released the handbrake they had no answer.

Tries from Joe Joyce, Henry Purdy and Charles Piutau gave  Bristol that early 21-0 lead and there was a bit of anxiety in the home crowd.

Louis Lynagh eased the worries and a Callum Sheedy penalty made it 24-7 at half-time.

No worries . The second half was a blitz with Lynagh, Andre Esterhuizen, Luke Northmore, Will Collier, Tyrone Green, Marcus Smith and Alex Dombrandt crossing to score 45 points wth Brizz failing to trouble the scorer.

The kick through the narrowest of gaps from Marcus Smith led to him scoring an epic try, but that was eclipsed by the interception from the superb Alex Dombrandt who raced 40 metres to the line.

A taciturn Tabai Matson told the media: ""It was a game of two halves, but we don't want to be 21-0 down, that's not the game plan.

"But we find a way. The guys recalibrated at half-time, they knew they had to defend a bit better and take the opportunities.

"We knew we were creating enough on the balance of the first half as they had been clinical in all three of their visits to our 22.

"But nobody expected us to respond in quite the way we did. However, this team has been doing this all last year, so they know they can.

"This level of positivity is exciting, we knew it would be a high-octane game of rugby, but I certainly didn't expect that."
