Waltzing 'Bill' by Chris Neal

At half time during the Parker Pen Challenge Cup quarter final home leg against Brive the crowd were treated to a rendition of Waltzing 'Bill' by ex-Quins prop Chris Neal.

Chris has written an alternative version of Waltzing Matilda, it's called Waltzing 'Bill'. Chris is selling CDs and all of his royalties are being donated to charity. The three charities being supported are

Wooden Spoon Society - Celebrating 20 years of supporting disadvantage children and young people. 6 million distributed to children and young people, 1,000 organised events and 20,000 ties worn, all in the last 20 years and all achieved by volunteers working on behalf of Wooden Spoon Society.


The Richard Langhorn Trust - The Trust was set up following the tragic death of Harlequins and England A number 8 Richard Langhorn in November 1994, and runs various projects and schemes to help disabled, disadvantaged and underprivileged children in the UK and continues to grow from year to year.

 
Professional Rugby Players Association - The establishment of the Benevolent Fund is part of the PRA’s ongoing commitment towards supporting those currently or recently departed from rugby, in need of a helping hand to readjust to the world beyond the game. Since the inception of the PRA, the Fund has already helped improve the central insurance provision for players as well as providing assistance to players who have suffered serious career ending injuries and illnesses.
