I have not witnessed much of the Tykes for the last 11 years. if you look at the question another way, which tykes player injury hurt us the most, I would argue it was loosing Rob Vickerman at Saints really hurt him and the team.

Yes,rob Vickermanís injury at Northampton was the turning point of both that match and the remainder of the season

As to best matches- Away,Toulouse 6 days after England won World Cup, singing Swing Low to accompanying catcalls from several thousand Frenchmen
