Thanks for writing this story WW and getting the messageboard back alive again after this afternoon's blackout.

I note on the Harrogate website, the club has denied that David Doherty has applied for a coaching position at Carnegie.

Our only hope is that there is something going on, under cover, with regard to coach and players, but even so it is a desperate hope.

I noticed that Nick Mayhew posted on the Carnegie Facebook page inquiring when pre-season is due to start? (Sm124)

I meant to ask who the player pictured is - can't recall him. Perhaps he does rugby player kaioke?

Also sorry about my past reference to your cheap boots, you're a saint WW!

The alternatives appear to be:

- a Leeds side with whoever they can beg, steal or borrow.

- a Richmond side bereft of some of their best players but with a
huge chip on their shoulder / point to prove.

- no game.

At the moment I do not see a good solution. The Leeds fans seem to have been sold a pup. Richmond shafted and rugby short changed.

Summed up in 65 words. (Sm124)

Same as last year except it was 30 full time pros and 4 coaches who got us to the bottom of the league table by Christmas. Might be easier this year

As a Sale forum we've got fed up of SportsNetwork and are moving across to an alternative forum - View From The 22

You guys are always welcome to join as it would be good to replicate the SN ability of switching between forums but on a site that isn't as obtrusive and is a lot more user friendly

There was a rumour from rotherhamtillidie on rolling maul that the CVA meeting is tomorrow and creditors are being offered 15p in the pound.

I do not have any other evidence for this.

Sad thing is our people get snapped up by the better sides in the prem etc. Imagine what we go do with our house in order and a bit of cash

Jon Newcombe tweeted this - he's been spot on with everything so far... even if he does seem to relish our demise IMHO.

Seems we have some decent CVA and insider knowledge which helps to understand recent developments. Any ideas if the 15p in the also includes any Director or other loans or have they been protected/accounted for in a different way? Ask this as I saw somewhere the main CVA creditors are players which sounds odd bearing in mind published accounts and statements re stakeholder loans

Some of the previous information made public indicated that some shareholder/director loans were to be novated, ie taken on by a different party. I suspect that Keith Howard and Jon Wright are doing this for some of those who have a lesser exposure and don't want to take the haircut.

Albert, please can you explain what has gone on, in simple terms, once the details emerge?

If shareholder/directors loans are part of the Creditors then they could "overwhelm" the true creditors (i.e. players) and achieve a 75% acceptance of a CVA at say 1 pence in the pound and then just carry on? Or am I being too cynical?

The shareholders/directors are not expecting to get the loans back anyway?

As it is a private company we may never get to know the details of the agreement reached, though a little will be seen once the accounts are finally published. The announcement does say that the deal was approved by all relevant creditors.

Agreed this is not a "victimless" solution. However if the players have managed to get contracts elsewhere at approaching 85% of the salary they would have got with Carnegie, then perhaps only pride is hurt.
