Faletau and Mercer available. Even with Underhill away, we’ve an embarrassment of back row riches once again, and we’ll need against a decent, fast side on the Worcester astro.

The weather doesn't look great for Saturday unfortunately - high chance of rain and gusty winds again.

Very little information seems to come out of these events. Nothing on recruitment or retention. And still nothing on Joe Cokanasiga, do the reporters even ask about him or just not report that they get nothing if they do?

Since Dan Evans left, the Club press conferences reports have unfortunately produced very little in terms of information and I now don’t check it out on FB or WhatsApp.

I can’t work out whether Hoops has decided to give nothing away, or the questioner isn’t asking the questions we’d like him to, and he’s being too polite!

Judging by his player rating scores I suspect it's the latter! Perhaps he's just trying to establish a harmonious relationship as Mr Evelyn(?) gives 6/10 if a player has a shocker and I can't recall seeing anything below that!

The absence of info on Big Joe is a major concern. So hope it isn't indicating a big problem

They already said it was a big problem and could have him out for the season didn’t they? I may have dreamed that.

I don’t think it has clearly been stated how long he could be out for, people were left to draw they own conclusions from this statement by the club from November:

“Joe Cokanasiga returned from England’s World Cup campaign with a knee injury that will result in him being unable to begin a competitive campaign for the Club.

In order to provide Joe the best possible management plan and rehabilitation process, Bath Rugby’s Medical Department are enlisting the services of world-leading specialists to ensure expert opinion is considered to deliver an optimal pathway to recovery. The Club’s priority is to maximise his chances to perform at the very highest level.”

Update: I’ve just spotted this bit in the article about Watson’s injury. [www.somersetlive.co.uk]
“Earlier in the season Bath hit out at the RFU and England over the national sides’ treatment of winger Joe Cokanasiga who was made to train and play during the Rugby World Cup while carrying a knee injury which has caused the young powerhouse to suffer avoidable long-term injury problems while keeping his club relatively in the dark.

Cokanasiga, still just 22, has not played again this campaign and could miss the entire season.”

Although there isn’t much clarity here, more speculation.

I think that the period would depend on whether he had an operation or not- no idea if he did. Either way, fingers crossed that he is back soon, feels like we’ve hardly seen him in the BB&W.

It seems to me that Hooper's style is not to give out expected return dates in his press conferences. He often talks about returning to training etc but is careful not to give targets.

I mentioned a couple of times about whether the club get get insurance money to compensate for injuries while on International duty but no-one seems to know, is this something that some-one could ask at the next Q and A session?

We do seems to be hit hard by this, Joe C, Watson, Faletau etc.

You forgot your own adoptee SW! Didn’t Ellis also do something on a training camp?

Pretty sure I read somewhere (I thought on here) that he was heading to Sweden for an operation - must have been about 4 weeks ago?
