If they delay their team announcement, will we delay ours? The way things currently are, you really don't want to be giving away that information - it has real potential advantages to know the other team in advance.

What are the rules of team announcements? I thought you had to announce by 12 noon on the day before the match, but it in normal times they do it on a Friday for a Sunday match anyway.

De Lager Injury

Just in case you ever thought Diamond was overly worried about player welfare.

Would not be surprised given the mention of Covid Testing at Sale if there is a scare or someone within the playing or coaching team (or extended family) may be suspected of being positive - I cannot believe Premiership rugby would leave themselves open to allegations by allowing Sale preferential treatment they are in the same boat as every other club - they all played midweek - either the player or players are fit or not simple as - if you are not sure you name your side and withdraw the player or players if they fail fitness tests.

Very strange - hence why I personally believe it may be more to do with Covid and you could only imagine the rage of Diamond given the penalty for not fulfilling a fixture....

What is the penalty for not fulfilling a fixture?

Not clear, asked about that before but seems highly unlikely there would be a bonus point.

Weird how this weekend is basically the play-off play-offs:

Sale vs Bath and Wasps vs Bris - the shootout for a/ top 4 and b/ the right to not finish 4th (ie play Exeter > lose)
Sarries vs Exeter - the 2020 GP final that never was
Quins vs Glos - mano a mano for mid-table mediocrity
Tigers vs Saints - freefalling Saints vs the true relegation candidates
Wuss vs LI - meh vs meh

Do we have to nominate someone to miss the kicks for the player stats?

I think it should be a penalty try, its penalty for not being able to put a team out. Takes the load of the stats for NID as well.

Interesting observation regarding the Saracens Exeter game and team selection.

It appears on paper that both sides have chosen very much understrength teams.

Is that coincidence, spying on each other or perhaps some exchange of information between coaches? Or just pragmatic selection regarding each other's position in the table?

Probably current table positions combined with massive European matches next weekend.
