Given it's the international team of the week, that's some good going. I also agree with the decisions, both showed some real class.

Yet Nanai gets panned on here. Baffles me, he's the type of player you've got to learn to love.

The same fans who bag him on here will be the same fans who moan our attack isnt creative/dynamic enough. He has some defensive flaws but more than makes up for it with his attacking ability.

Nanai is the type of player who will help us win big. We have to get away from the mindset of being happy with whatever win we can get( Exeter aside). We have to have players who believe we can get a 5 point win nearly every game and players like Nanai help us do that

You have to remember that there are some people in the world, where if you gave them a free gold bar they would just moan it was too heavy. 'owt to be done about it.

I think panned is probably too strong a word there have been 2 guys who have be critical about his dropped balls and you probably agree that he dropped 4 balls where in most case he would have caught them. Even the commentators were astonished at the drops.

I have him as one of my X-Factor players and in the game he was outstanding in attack but he did drop 4 dollys and flapped around two tackles as tries were scored out wide. Pennell and especially Humphreys would have thundered into those tackles and may have saved them. But that does not make them better players, it’s just an aspect Nanai can improve on - no one is perfect.

Nanai and Lawrence fully deserve their selection they were both outstanding in their delivery.(glad I have them both as X-Factor players)

Generally, he has been bagged on this site IMO for being played out of position. Wing and full back are not as interchangeable as they used to be from what I can see. It would be like getting having a pop at Ethan Waller because he wasnt scrummaging well at TH prop. Brainless

This site? (Your words)

As opposed to what site?

This is “The Forum” and he plays for us I wouldn’t think any other “site” would have enough interest in Nanai to comment. LI might I suppose after Sunday but..

I think it's fairly clear what the poster means.

If you don't like the opinion confront the opinion, don't dance around the edges criticising their use of language on something else. It implies (rightly or wrongly) you can't fault the arguement but don't want to back down smiling smiley

Maybe the 'brainless' comment was a shade abrupt, but it wasn't offensive (that said offence is taken not given I suppose).

Either way - I don't think the wing/full back thing is as specialised as TrueWarrior does, however I do have some sympathy with the view (though not as vehemently held) that some do hunt out fault on what should otherwise be a good day* - and IMHO that is counter productive (see the idiom about drinking poison and expecting the other person to die). But there we go.

* I have supported the club for two decades and am very well versed in how frustrating it is.

Silly response.

Of course I agree with his post apart from the words highlighted

I can’t dance, never have been able to.

Hougaard was in with a shout of making this team, should of had a hattrick against Irish.

There is a world outside of this forum so I thought it prudent to state 'this site.' He has also been panned on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I tend not to read the other forum so unsure on there.

I wasn't stating you are brainless JP : I meant that it is brainless to slate a player when they are being played out of position and delivering poor performances from that position, ergo, the example of Waller.

Absolutely agree TrueWarrior.

That for me is one of the reasons Shilly has not developed. He spends all his rugby at school playing at 9, we pick him at a very young age to cover 9 then we proceed to develop him as a 10/15 .

I reckon he would have made an outstanding 9
