4 Changes to the starting XV for this weeks game against Doncaster. Hayden King and Jay Tyack start in the front row. Josh Caulfield returns to the back row and AJ Cant returns to the wing after injury.
The forecast is not great for Sunday with heavy rain and strong winds as storm Ciara.
Full details on the clubs website.

Capable of getting 5 points if we do not give away too many penalties and have no sending offs.

What is the weather forecast for tomorrow— it’s bad up here in the Cotswolds ?

Weather down here is not looking brilliant for tomorrow. Rain coming tonight and turning to light rain all day Sunday until 15:00, then there will be showers with periods of sun. Winds SW 37-48mph. It's posible we may have a dry game with a slightly soggy pitch. It's a pity we couldn't have rescheduled the game for today. Hey Ho, as long as the pitch holds up we should be ok. We've had a week of dry weather, windy at times, which should have dried the pitch nicely, or at least allowed it to drain well tomorrow.

Weather conditions may not be good for trains to use Dawlish part of the route being so close to the sea and being close to spring tides

Pitch inspection at 10 am was OK. Just the 70 mph winds to deal with!

Well done to all.
Thought the pitch held up very well too.
That said I thought the first half was possibly the best we have played for a while.
The intensity, accuracy and vision was right up there with anything we have done this year.
Way, way better game than I had thought possible.
Credit where it is due and have to say we look so much better when we keep the ball in hand.
Considering the conditions not a bad crowd and thought Donny played their part in an entertaining game.

The opening 4 minutes set the tone for a superb opening 40 minutes from the Pirates. They received the kick off in their own 22 and playing into a strong south westerly they retained possession going through multiple phases before finally knocking on in the tackle just outside Doncasters 22.
Despite playing into a strong wind they controlled possession and territory throughout the half scoring 3 tries and keeping Doncaster to a single penalty to go in at half time 17-3.
The 2nd half still favoured the Pirates although Doncaster had more possession and scored a nicely worked try of their own. The Pirates finished strongly to score with the final play to win 27-10 and pick up a try scoring bonus point.
Although there were a number of fine individual displays it will have been the overall team performance that will have pleased the coaches the most ahead of next weeks game against leaders Newcastle.
A huge thank you to all of the staff who made today's game possible as despite the threat from storm Ciara the pitch held up well.

I'd add that after the criticism of the officials at the Coventry game last week, today's referee played his part in an entertaining game. He let the game flow, and wasn't "whistle-happy" like others at home this season.

Really good to see us playing a possession based game, albeit dictated by the weather conditions. It made for a really entertaining game with a solid team performance. So much easier to score when a team has possession of the ball!
