London Irish are ground sharing with Harlequins at the moment so tonight's
game is at the Twickenham Stoop.

Took them 18 months to assemble the land, according to the website, so that process must have started in March 2015, and now it's ready.
If only....

No I don't think so.

I can't give you exact dates now but if you have a look (google) the stadium at Brentford has been in the mix for a long time, longer that the Stadium For Cornwall - which did surprise me!!

Yes it it had a slow start until a Hertfordshire developer Willmot Dixon specialising in Social Housing and the Local Council got behind the project. The Planning Application and funding allowed the project to progress very quickly with their support.

Pirates would be at Welford Rd next season and possibly staying at the hotel they are building next to the ground if Saracens had not been naughty. Oh what joy that would have been 20,000 Cornishmen would have enjoyed the day.

If there was any justice Sarries would have been relegated for their misdemeanours and Leicester because they finished bottom of the league (which they probably will as they are dire at the moment). Then two promoted from the Championship; but rugby in England doesn't operate that way, it's a disgrace.

Lucky to have had 200 there. Those days are long gone sadly.

You are an optimist my friend, those days are long gone sadly. I was there at Twickers for the early Cornwall games, only Yorkshire ever came close to the Cornish support, and we outnumbered them five to one, easy. Great days, I have a photo of my mate trying to set fire to a beer-soaked Gloucester flag in the Cabbage Patch, and failing, while Scruffy Thomas tried to nick a jacket potato. . He succeeded, but I nicked it off him and ate it stone cold, on the coach going home. My guts ain't been the same since!
