Bored's comment about 4/5 players over next two transfer windows could be right however, I would settle for a proven goal scorer this January window.

Probably 90% of teams in championship, league 1 and 2 desperatly want/need a goal scorer. If there where loads about, a lot more clubs with bigger budget to us would snap them up. We tried lower leagures, we have youngsters from bigger clubs and that either failed failed or requires incredable patience, so at a loss to know the answer

Two points dropped, but at least it was not a loss.
A win next time would certainly do some considerable good and another 2-3 places gained could be realistically possible.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

The manager said that CBR might be fit again next week. I can't say that I expect him to solve our goal scoring issue, but maybe Clarke might be able to get something from him.
Okoro and Davies will be out for a few more weeks.

It is not 2 points dropped, It is not possible to drop points in the football league once awarded they are added to the clubs total in the league table nir is it possible to physically carry those points. The EFL can remove point on penalty but that is not 'dropping points' that is the removal of points 'earnt' by a rules breach. Now grants it could be said it feels like 2 points dropped but Tranmere were never ahead in the game and the manger will understand that Tranmere Rovers started the day with 15 points they finished it with 16 points therefore it is a gain of 1 points overall.

I think that is true, for strikers like Vaughan that can clock up close to 20 or more a season but Ironside's return of about one goal per ten league games is poor by any standard and getting worse rather than better. Nor is he prolific in terms of assists.

Another worrying factor: We have gone 39 games without back to back League wins.

League position over stats …one can also say that back to back losses have reduced this season… I don’t really care about last season’s stats.
What is clear is that there are better performances than last season and that there are issues with a lack of goals from the strikers. Only losing three out of 13 is laudable. Winning only three highlights a need to improve in front of goal.
Nothing there that Clarke doesn’t already know.
