Phil Boulton was one of RW first signings and the cornerstone to building the team that would get us back into the Championship and establishing ourselves. He has been incredibly consistent and a great leader and club captain.

Boults is now adding value as a coach and doing a fantastic job with the U18's. He was one of my 5 nominations in Tim Smith's Most Valuable Player Christmas Poll. I was rather suprised that he didn't feature in the top 12. However, that may just be a reflection of how far the squad has come since Boults signed, although I'm sure Boults helped attract some of the later acquisitions.

Excellent news about Pete White. A great talent who gives his all for the shirt. I still think he has the potential to develop more as a player yet which is an added bonus.

I like how Pete White says he's "looking forward to at least another two good years as a Coventry player.

Shows he's here for the journey.

Notice on Twitter that old elthanians were stating that they had lost a player to COVENTRY?

Apparently a done deal which I am sure we will hear about soon.

Also, there were three players at Bedford last night, with the Cov squad whi look like new additions.

Please feel free to start a rumours thread so we can keep this one clear for done-deals.
Many thanks.

Hopefully he is 7 foot tall, we might then have a chance of winning a line out

Sadly, I think the massive reduction in money from the RFU and Premiership will result in a lot of player redundancy. I forsee the championship going part time for most clubs. The professional game has pulled the rug on its own, without a career path many players will quit rugby altogether. It won't be too many years down the line before it directly affects the England team.

Premiership closed shop.

Absolutely on topic, the reduction in funding directly affects our ability to sign players. Read, take note and disregard if you want to, but don't criticize it's topicality.
