I was lambasted a little for mentioning previously about Stan South choosing to line his pockets and not being picked at Exeter rather than regularly playing potentially for Coventry. I predict the same will happen with Mr Purdy, unless he proves me wrong of course. One more footnote from me. I wish nothing but the best for James Stokes. Quality player, and a genuine class act as a person. Give the lad respect, he truly proved himself as a player, and worked hard to give himself the opportunity to test himself at the highest level

There's no doubt Purdy is a decent player, but it was obvious from even before he joined Cov that he would @#$%& off at the first opportunity. Good luck to him. At the BPA for a couple of months and a couple of tries, but I'm not that bothered he's gone. I'd rather have seen Dan Lewis or other development players get a break. It's players like James Stokes I miss more, having watched him progress for the time he was at Cov and grab an opportunity to hopefully develop at a higher level.
