We all miss saturdays.

This is not like losing your favourite toy, it has become life affirming , life changing. Without rugby , without Coventry, my well being is so much poorer for not going through the trial and tribulations of following a group of men wearing the blue n white. The stories that lie behind the selections, the tactics, even wearing the right coloured kit. Helping to continue the production line of supporters and the shared experience with your family members. We all know how we are missing our rugby fix, our live rugby. You cant replicate the feelings and sensations of live sport at your special place. 3pm on a saturday is a time to share our love for the game and the team we support. Just when we need it more than ever, it seems further away again.

I'm looking at it this way.

Crowds are being allowed back into live sport - in restricted numbers just now, but it's starting. We'll need two months pre-season to get the team back to season starting fitness, and the furlough scheme ends at the end of October (at the moment, I grant you).

November and December pre-season, January start.

At least, let's hope so.

Just my opinion, I accept that, but the more people congregate, the more the virus will spread. I honestly think it needs a 3 week lockdown to curb the virus. Okay, granted, not popular, but it is getting out of control again, Stop flights for 4 weeks, contain the virus, so it does not spread. Once contained, we can then start talking again about the start of next season
