If you lose collisions everything else unravels

With a Wanderers pack against Irelandís pack, what do you expect ?

We have more than enough to make a real game of this if we improve the basics. Boyds ethos has literally been we can always win no matter whos selected so to accept defeat before the ball is kicked is pointless.

Well of course we should go to win, funnily enough Iím not playing or coaching the team. It would be amazing if these guys could make it even closer....

However looking objectively, on paper they should spank us

to suggest otherwise is delusional

Wood looked as if he was ok from behind but Gibson looked to still be holding on but the referee insisted he told wood to release.

Watching on C4 and ref clearly shouted "tackle release" several times before pinging wood.

FWIW I thought Ludlam's turnover just before was good

I am not sure what people expect.
Saints have reserves at 15, 14, 12, 9, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Some of them are 3rd or 4th choice in their position and others like Lewis are playing out of position. The only likely starters given a full squad would be Big T, Biggar, Proctor and Lewis.

Leinster have a virtually full side, many of whom only play key games. It is just not a level playing field.

Have to say Api has brain farts from time to time. Just keep the ball man...

Tbf its a good job you're not coaching as rugby isn't played on paper.

Hopefully we can build on the improvement we brought to the end of the 1st half and make a game of it.

Doing the same as last week in some ways. Some real good play up into their 22 and coming away with nothing following handling errors and then a try at the other end.

A clear chasm in talent, so in no way looking to find excuses, but Pro14 ref's just aren't good enough at this level

very weird refereeing generally, why did he just blow the whistle when we had the ball a foot short ?

Can we just leave Europe to the Irish and French to play? Wales do nothing, Scotland do nothing, and the English , minus Saracens, have to put out 2nd teams just to survive player burnout and accommodate for injuries.

Itís just a burden Rather than an enjoyable and fair crack at winning anything.

Games like this, year after year, just de-rail the season, are painful to watch and leave you hoping we just donít get any more injuries that ruin the prem campaign.

Overall a waste of time for any English club with the salary cap and the prem to deal with.
Really getting bored of these European tournaments. This isnít taking anything away from Leinster, theyíre a class team but theyíre basically Ireland 1st 15 and played half the games of our lads.

Waste of time walking out the changing rooms.

Even if we battle back and win, do we wanna be playing in quarters and semis later in the year when trying to manage a squad to challenge for the prem cup?
Just puts us at a disadvantage, seems pointless with our resources trying.

Really does prove a point the only team capable of competing in both competitions are the team just fined 5 million for cheating to get there.

Referee totally useless. Biggar tackled before the ball got to him but referee right there. He is totally useless!. He was right there and it takes the TMO to alert him to it! Useless!

So Irish players are allowed to come into a ruck like an Exocet and bypass and seal the ball off according to this ref or have I missed this rule change?
