Leisurely trip down via the trains and Avanti today.
Hoping for a bonus point win but will be good just for a win, will be a difficult game.
Safe travels to all and hope the crowds at sixfields dont impact.
Come on you Saints

Morning all from a rather dull Brixworth.

Will be hitting the ground early due to the cobblers clash so the real ale bar will be busy

We should still have enough firepower to do this but Courts and Moon particularly will be missed

Morning all

I was looking forward to tonight - the night games under the lights buzz is always a bit special..

THEN i saw the post about the footie I had missed that its going to be a long old sit to get in/out of the car parks tonight sad smiley

When will the club sort out the mess of the car parks and make the main road dual carriage way right way from 6 fields roundabout to first exit and make one car park exit "into town" and one exit to six fields. So simple to do ...

Morning all! damp grey n misty in NN13 right now. Irish will be tricky with a absentees away etc. But as said above we 'should' have enough to get the result. COYS!

As mentioned, a tricky game with the call ups. A real test of squad depth.

We need to be getting 5 points in games like these if we are to stand any chance against the likes of Exeter, Bristol and Sarries, even with their call ups.

Looking forward to seeing how we go with our 'depleted' squad. Glad to be in the County rather than having to rely on London Northwestern Railway to ferry me back from London in time.

Morning all, think Iím just about done with work, just a matter of walking the dogs now before setting up base in town mid afternoon before a walk to the ground, you know, just to avoid the traffic!

Following from Abu Dhabi - but because of the time difference and the evening kick-off I won't catch up until the morning cause old men need their beauty sleep (Sm108)

Grey and drizzly outside the office on Moulton Park this morning, with few signs that it will pass, but it's not a bad day for late January. With the way that Saints play these days and the experience of those replacing the internationals I see no reason to worry about tonight, even though Irish have a decent side. The 23 for Saints is still incredibly strong and capable of beating most sides in this league.

Missing my first game in a while as Iím recovering from the dreaded Norovirus. Luckily will be watching on TV from home in Rugby. I know some people are complaining re scheduling but at least weíre being shown on TV for those who canít make it. Also an added benefit of playing attractive rugby and being higher up the table! Please make sure you give our old boy Steve Myler an extra loud cheer for me.

COYS and Come on You Cobblers!

We've been hit pretty hard with the England call ups, aswell as a few key injuries (Proctor,Gibson,Ribeye). I think tonight is more about team spirit & resiliance & digging in to get the job done i.e 4 points. Any more would just be a nice bonus. With all due respect imho we don't need to be at the level to beat Sarries or Exeter tonight cos we aint playing them tonight! I'm mainly just excited to see the continuation of the positive rugby we're becoming ascustomed too, it really is fun to watch us play again!

Iím pretty sure the club, as important as it is for the town, has limited ability to start extending main roads without the councilís say so. Yeah I know we have a transport division with a specialist tarmacing team but still ....

Isnt the problem getting out onto the ring road at the roundabout there? So you can have as wide a road as you like going up to the ring road roundabout but it wont make any difference?

Very excited for this game and I agree completely with this post; what's important at this stage is how we're playing and improving and morale and momentum.

Aside from...
1. the planning permission required to extend a road running parallel to a nature reserve
2. the multiple landowner interests that would need to be reconciled to buy the land needed to widen the highway
3. the funding for a project that isn't of any strategic public interest and would therefore need to be privately funded
4. the fact that the traffic flow is mostly dictated by the capacity of the junction(s) at the end of Edgar Mobbs Way

Yes, it is really rather simple.

I think the post was more about making the exits one way depending on which car park exit and using both sides of the road, rather than suggesting the club rebuilds a new road network.

Well, I hope so.

Alternatively, a couple of people directing traffic might help

Iím nervous because Irish have lots of ball carriers.... hopefully our better coaching and potentially speed into position will help.

Interested to see if the forwards win their battle
