We thrashed them 38-0 at SP, so going for a decent win, hope it’s not another Glos type banana skin!!

Despite their win over Falcons, I'm not impressed with Quins at the moment.

We have confidence and momentum and motivation so I think it will be a decent win.

I think we will get 5 points here probaly winning by 15 points.

Expect a high scoring game - Quins 29 Chiefs 46. I hope we do come away with no serious injuries especially to our scrum half, locks, wings and that star number 15! Please no complacency; 5 points essential for a possible top 4.

I finished watching the Newcastle v Quins game today and I can’t think of a time where I’ve ever seen a team score 70+ and still look beatable. Newcastle just looked so poor yet whenever they did get in the 22, they scored. Quins defence looked so out of shape with some poor decision making.

My head says chiefs. If they want to be a top 4 team this is the sort of team you have to beat.

If we play at 50% of our ability we will win imho. Watching Quins they have been very poor, only better than Newcastle who are treading water till next season.
If we find a way to lose, which is always a possibility, we will probably give our playoff place to Sarries, a sad result, Tigers are playing like champions along with Saints. But we have been unfortunate against Saints and have a lot to prove against Tigers led by a coach who knows our ins and outs.
It’s up to our team, I am more confident in the coaches to hopefully get it through to the players and they have been so much better after removing the previous engineer of our downfall last season.

So watching in belief and hope, this game could the end of our season, or solidify its position and give us a chance of a trickers date.

Even if we lose to both Quins and Tigers, I think it seems likely that our final game at home v Sarries will still decide who claims 4th spot. (But arithmetic was never my strong point)

Given our surprise win last week this is not the must win I'd thought it would be. However, looking at the quin's side, it's a game we really should win and well. I'm not even sure I'd recognise any of quin's front five if they were stood next to me! We have a clear advantage there and should have the quality to see this through. My only worry is we get a bit complacent, or decide to play a quin's style game. They are still dangerous in the backs, but that front five is not a prem quality front five! Don't give them quick and easy ball and look after our own and all will be fine. They do have a strong back row so looking after our ball is crucial.
I'm going Quin's 21 Chiefs 42.

We can lose both games and still qualify if we beat Sarries, providing Bristol don't win both remaining games. Bonus points could end up being critical.

Also as we have seen all season very few teams are playing 9 out of 10 two weeks in a row and we had are biggest win of the season last week.

Good management to put Manny on the bench, it says to all the players that if you play really well you will not be dropped just because a big name is back, and to Manny he cant take his place for granted.

Unfortunately, my PC died yesterday so I can't publish an updated table until I replace it next week. However, I'm sure that most of you – with the exception of Rowancroft73 (3 pts) and cornwallchief (1) - won't want to see that, much like the UK's Eurovision contestants, you scored 'nil points'

In all honesty Misericord, probably not!
Quin's didn't win the game due to the front five. In fact what they did really well is protect them with great handling. I think I can only recall one scrum where we had the put in. At which we won a penalty. Quin's also did well at getting the ball out of their own scrum very quickly.
Where Quins did win the game was in thier tactics, I thought Marcus Smith's had great game.

Also, Quins back row were excellent. I've often been a bit critical of Dombrandt, I felt he was a bit of a flat track bully who went missing when things got tough. The last few times I watched Quins this season though I've been really impressed with him. He's been a proper leader, never giving up and putting in 100% even when things have been tough for his team. Maybe now he's matured he's worth another go for England?

Rob acknowledged the lack of depth so getting a LBP firstly then saving energy was sensible squad management. Same tactics for the next game then go at Sarries full blast.

With the greatest of respect to Rob, that's a pretty big gamble. We definitely want to be ahead of Sarries by the time they come here.

Mmm nice but don't think that's realistic. Bristol are finding that out.
