Hot off the presses but featured in the Western Daily Press this morning.

Bristol are set to unveil 2 new signings although one is not going to be the 'phenomenal' new signing that Malcolm was talking about a couple of weeks ago.

The WDP did name Peter Richards who has previously played for Harlequins and London Irish as well as England U21 and England A. He spent last season with Benetton Treviso.

He would be a natural replacement in the squad for Ross Blake who moved down the A4 yesterday. The speed of Richards' arrival makes you think that this has been planned for a little while now and that Blake was actually allowed to leave rather than slipping through the Shoguns' fingers.

Richards has made 33 league appearances for Quins and Irish (5 against Bristol) and scored 6 tries and 1 drop goal. He was born on March 10th 1978, is 1.77m tall and weighs in at 184lbs.
