A fitting finale

The 2014/15 Championship season has only two games left. They are the two-legged final of the play-offs. The teams contesting that final are Bristol and Worcester. Both clubs have set their stall out this season but only one club will be promoted.
By a quirk of the fixture list the two finalists met on the first and last days of the regular season. The results both went to Bristol. Both clubs have all but swept aside the opposition this season. (Pirates and Jersey get an honourable mention for bucking that trend.) This meant that there was a huge points gap behind Wuss in second place. With London Scottish securing third place the only contest was for fourth which Rotherham secured late on.
Although the Exiles and Roth gave a good account of themselves over the semi-finals the winners were the two outstanding clubs of the division who now, quite rightly, contest the final for the right to play in the top flight of English rugby.
The final will be a hard fought 160 minutes. I expect the division's attendance record to be smashed in the second leg at Ashton Gate. Other than that my prediction for an eventual winner is Bristol but I have been wrong before!

I think it will be Wuss, but either of them will be better equipped for the Premiership than London Welsh.
From our perspective, and with all due respect to Scottish and Roth ( both better than us this year) I'm quite glad we'll only be facing one of Bris or Wuss next year in our quest for promotion.
Having watched them again yesterday I think they are mediocre for the quality of player they have amongst their ranks. They seem like what we had a few years ago - journeymen past their best who don't seem all that bothered (Henson a classic example - he should just stick to the sunbed !).
The Play off 2 legged final is a one off and could obviously go either way. My money's on Wuss though. Having said that Bristol, with its massive support, deserve a Premiership side and hopefully, perhaps under a new supremo, it may happen before too long.

Whoever it is will find it very difficult in the prem just like us as the quality is immense.
