Why bother turning up on Sunday?

The Powers That Be have spoken. Rotherham are not coming up. We will not be relegated. We can not get into the play-offs. So what have we got to play for?

PRIDE - That's what!

So what that Sunday's game can't really change anything. We don't want to be the team who finishes in the relegation slot, and stays up on a technicality.

The team finishing bottom will have the "We should have been relegated" feeling hanging over them all next season and personally I don't want that team to be Tykes. It is worth playing for 11th so we can go into next seson knowing we are there by right.

The lads played well on Wednesday night, far better than their efforts last Friday at Quins. They looked determined and played some nice rugby especially in the first half.

The team need to maintain their desire to win & the determination they have shown us all season & not let the relief of being secure make them less committed. If they can do that then I think Gloucester will have a game on their hands on Sunday.

Therefore despite what some people are saying I beleive that Sunday's match is important - we want to finish the season the way we started - with a home win.

Whatever happens it's been a rollercoaster ride of a season - the team have played beyond all expectations and have done us proud.
