Horan "could quit game"

Saracens' former Australian international centre Tim Horan is worried that a fifth operation on his knee could be one that ends his career.

According to the Daily Mail, the Wallaby legend is in two minds about whether to end his career right away, or play his last season for the Men in Black.

Horan said "'It wouldn't be fair to myself or the club but I'm pretty positive at this stage. I have to take care to make sure it is right to get through the whole season. If not, I'll have to consider my options."

With the Zurich Premiership season starting for Sarries on 1 September, Horan's decision is one that will have to be taken quickly, probably during the Japanese tour which will give him the opportunity to try out his bad knee. However, he is keen to prove that it will be sound enough to play on.

"This will be my last season so I want to make sure I finish on a really good note. After the last couple of seasons, it would be nice to win some silverware. I think the knee will be OK." he concluded.

Out of action since he broke his wrist against Sale towards the end of last season, Horan has yet to play alongside Thomas Castaignede in the Saracens team. The Frenchman suffered his achilles injury the very same day that Horan made his Sarries debut at Gloucester in 2000.

Hopefully the 32 year old Queenslander will be able to play on and fulfil one of his few remaining ambitions by lining up with Castaignede.
