Foley Starts Clear-Out, Ronnie To Go?

So the post season clear-out of players begins and the first victim of the Foley enema appears to be Mark Regan. With the signing of Jonathan Humphreys it was always going to be a toss up between Regan and Long leaving and I have to admit I thought it would be Long who was shown the door - wrong!
Mark Regan was a bit of a hot and cold player
in terms of performance and he's done well
to achieve what he has with relatively limited
skills, but he instilled a lot of passion
in to the Bath front row and certainly whipped
up a bit of fervour on the terraces (if that
is possible at the Rec) on more than one
occasion.
It was always going to be difficult for Ronnie
because not only did he arrive from Bristol
but he also had to follow a Bath legend,
Graham Dawe, and no one could ever hope to
fill that particular Cornishman's boots!
Whether Humphreys will now be able to fill
Ronnie's boots is anyone's guess, he has
the background and the nous but does he have
the passion? I hope so because we need a
bit of blood and guts next year to complement
some skill and confidence.
Good luck Ronnie wherever you go.
Let's look at Ronnie's League stats whilst
playing for Bath.
