UNDER-PRESSURE Wolves Manager Dave Jones has asked for his squad to 'do a QPR' and put a run of results together which would see Wolves push up the table. Wolves have won just three games all season.
The only run of consecutive results Wolves have been able to put together so far this season are defeats. It's so far been a season described by the Chief Executive as "abysmal" and Jones is heading into game number three of his four-match acid test.
It is believed that Jones was given four games to win nine points prior to the game at Nottingham Forest last Friday. Wolves lost the game at the City ground, but won against 10-man Derby County 2-0 in a subdued Molineux in mid-week. That gives Jones three points from the first two games, meaning Wolves must win at home to QPR on Saturday and away at Gillingham in a weeks time if the target is to be achieved.
Wolves are currently 8 points off a Play-Off place (with a game in hand), but Wolves Manager Dave Jones - who could be sacked if Wolves lose against QPR - wants the players to put a run of form together, similar to that of Saturdays visitors.
"Six weeks ago everyone was shouting for Ian's [Hollaway, QPR Manager] head then all of a sudden they turned a corner, got some great victories and they're now trying to go up, out of this division," said Jones.
"They are a strong side, full of confidence and are playing some good football but what we have to do is go about our business in the manner that we did on Tuesday night and add even more to it."
Only 900 tickets remain, which will go on sale at the Ticket Office Saturday morning.
