Glenn Hoping For Christmas Cheer

.

GLENN Hoddle has singled out an excellent Christmas period if Wolves are to stand any chance of gaining promotion to the Premiership this season.

The Wolves boss took charge of his first game at the weekend. Hoddle's new diamond formation won him a point at Watford and Hoddle will now look to win his first three points as Wolves boss at home to Crewe on Saturday.

"We got a draw away from home at Watford and, if we can win at home to Crewe, then we've got the Christmas period which might come at a good time and set us on our way," Said the former England Manager.

"And that's what we've got to do if we're going to have a serious chance. It's all right saying this club should be there, but we know there's a lot of work to do. I've hit the road running and I know I've got to pick up points very quickly."

Meanwhile Wolves youth team have been against Barnsley in the fourth 'round of the FA Youth Cup after a 1-0 home win over Reading on Tuesday.
