WRSC Meet the Players 2013

Tuesday 5th March saw this season's Meet the Players evening in the Pitchview at Sixways.     Most of the squad were there and the format was the usual speed dating WRSC style. The players     stay put and the supporters move round. 

Not only were the players there, but Richard Hill, Alun Carter, Corin Palmer and Charlie Little were present too. Although I am not sure many ventured up to the bar to chat to them. Well it was meet the players after all!

The first table I ventured to was with Shaun Perry who was being very entertaining as usual. He is as quick off the mark in conversation as he is on the pitch. But he, Josh Matavesi and Rob O'Donnell were having a ball chatting about all sorts and not just about rugby.

I spent time listening to Paul Hodgson chatting about the clubs he used to coach around the Esher area when he was at London Irish and to Errie Classens about the Gloucester game. I Tip toed around that at first but he was quite happy to say how he saw it. Not a deliberate trip but accidental.

The other supporters seemed more than happy to get the chance for an informal chat with their favourite Warriors and the Players like wise. The Raffle went well and the final prize of a decorate your own Bird House was won by Josh Matavesi (Not contrived at all!)

The guys had a deadline of 9 pm to stick to so the whole evening was over really quite quickly, so thanks again to the players and coaching staff for their time and let's make a date for next year!
