WRSC we very happy to welcome 3 of our new coaching staff and 5 of the new player signings, Karl Hogg, Simon Cross, Shane Howarth, Jonathan Thomas, Paul Warwick, Mike Williams, Jeremy Su’a. and Ignacio Mieres.

WRSC chairman Darren Birch did the intros and then each of the quests said a few words about themselves and their motivation to come to Sixways.

We then went into a Q&A session and one of the first questions was “why do the players not come out after a game unless they win”. Jonathan Thomas accepted responsibility saying that as captain he had made a decision that the team didn’t deserve the accolade of being saluted by the crowd when they lose. He accepted that we feel that we are all in this together and the players will now come out to salute the crowd not matter the result.

There many other questions on the penalty count, mauls, lineouts etc and all the coaches and players underlined their commitment to getting the new processes in place and working. The coaches and players as a group are working very hard and that to get where we all want to go will take time and effort on all our parts.
