Is this "The Warriors" very last Countdown?
The Club has to confirm to the RFU
We have a team to compete In The Championship!
We don't have any "Players"
We don't have a "Director of Rugby"
We don't have any "Coaches"
We don't have any "Medical Support Staff"
We don't have an "Club Admin Staff"
We don't have any "Groundstaff"
WE DON'T HAVE ANY OWNERS
How on earth can we submit a registration stating we have a fully financed and viable Rugby Team that can compete at Championship level.
Is this the final curtain for our club? There is absolutely nothing we, as supporters, can do to save this club. Everyone showing an interest in the club is an outsider, there is no-one who is a Worcestershire resident who is in there wanting to own or help run the club, wanting to fight for the continuation of professional rugby at Sixways.
The Amateur club, "WRFC" are now totally divorced from the club and are fighting hard to be the best club in their own leagues, having no input to Worcester Warriors in any shape or form.
Is it in their interest to be involved and be dragged down into this debacle?

Just listened to todays BBC H&W Podcast where they had Julie Palmer from Begbies on.
She came across very well and I am feeling very encouraged (maybe even optomistic) that we have a future in the Championship.
It seems like the RFU are actually delaying things regarding closing the sale, because they have yet to complete the fit and proper owners test !!
The deadline is flexible, but she is hopeful of a completion before Christmas.
The RFU really are a shambles of an organisation !!!

There are some quotes from Julie Palmer in this article on the BBC Sport website. The quotes come from Julie's conversation with Andrew Easton on BBC H&W, which could well be from the podcast that Latecomer mentioned above:
"We've now just got to accept that decision so we can press on with the sale. We put in an appeal against relegation, we thought we made a really strong case, but we weren't surprised at the outcome. We felt in a sense that the decision had probably already been made regardless of what case we made.
"We think we probably have grounds to appeal that decision again. The problem with that is it further delays the process and we just don't have the time to play with now.
"The purchaser has built a very solid plan based on [Worcester being] a Championship club with a view to being ambitious and getting back in the Premiership in very short order.
"We have strong grounds [to appeal again] but the time that would take would mean we couldn't get a deal done in time for next season. We're drawing a line under that in the interests of commerciality so we can try and get rugby played next season. I think that's why everybody now wants to get on with this and what we're asking for now is the RFU make a quick and sensible decision on the fit and proper person, suitability test, because the sooner we can move this forward the better.
"Initially in our meetings with the RFU they said that 12 December was a deadline they would like to work to and should be communicated as a hard deadline to get everybody on the same page as quickly as possible," Palmer explained.
"The RFU qualified their own deadline by saying what they didn't really want was everybody rushing around on Christmas Eve trying to get a deal done. They wanted to try and get it done earlier on the basis that if there was some slippage, the deal was moving progressively forward at that point in time and although it was a hard deadline, there would be flexibility if the deal was moving in the right direction."

Any plan based on getting back to the premiership needs to be torn up.
You have to plan based on the idea that there will be a ten team premiership, so there will be at least one other Premiership side in the Championship.
And they will have more money - as they will retain their shares - so Worcester, just like every other club, will be fighting with one hand behind their back.

It may be two clubs come down to make it to 10 clubs, because there will be a Championship side promoted at the end of the season taking the Premiership to 12 Clubs.

It made horrendous reading Buzzer, but don't be embarrassed, it's not the fans fault. A lot of you followed the club from London to High Wycombe and on to Coventry picking up new support. Who knows how good your future could have been without this financial disaster. Worcester fans too, have nothing to be ashamed of either, you have both been shafted.
