Ulster 17 - Neath 13

Ulster got their celtic league campaign back on track against Neath at Ravenhill on Friday night which gave Neath their first defeat of the season.

Ulster were missing 10 of their key players due to several circumstances but Neath had a dismal game and only came away with 1 point which was a bonus point. A crowd of around 10,000 at Ravenhill in Belfast gave Neath and Lee Jarvis a torrid time. A Lee Jarvis penalty and a try from Shane Williams gave Neath a early lead in the opening 30 minutes. Neath prop Duncan Jones was sin-binned for offending at the scrum and in the end was lucky not to recieve a red card.

A try came from Ulster's Brian Cunningham before the interval and Neil Doak converted which tied the scores on 10 - 10 after his earlier penalty.

Tyrone Howe then scored another try for the home side and the conversion from Doak made it 17 - 10 to Ulster and then Jarvis successfully kicked a penalty to make the points difference to 4 points which was the full time score. Final score was Ulster 17 - Neath 13.
