Dai Young has given his biggest hint that there will be many signings made before next season's big kick off.

Gareth Thomas has already signed with the region. That is in no doubt. Though the fans await confirmantion on his arrival, it's common knowledge the former Wales and Lion's captain will be at the Arms Park next season.

Meanwhile, Kiwi Lock Paul Tito is also very close to signing with the region.

Other rumours include former Osprey's scrum half Andy Williams, signalling the end for Canadian Ed Fairhurst, and The Dragons playmaker Ceri Sweeney.

Sweeney has been offered a new contract at Rodney Parade, but has become dissallusioned about what the regions ambitions are, and the quality of their facillities.

Head coach Paul Turner said last week,

"We've made him an offer to stay because he's a guy we want to build our side around. We are waiting for his answer. We want to know as soon as possible if he wants to look for pastures new so that we can look for an adequate replacement."

Meanwhile, Blues supreamo Dai Young said;

"We've talked about it as a coaching staff and to the board who support us. The money men are pleased with the performance shown this season and are hungry for success. We're close to a squad of real depth as well as quality. Of course, it's not going to be easy - we're after quality players and everybody wants to sign those people."
