Well there's been lots to discuss whilst I've been away over the weekend, including the return of Alfie and arrival of Tito.

At long last the news has been broken that indeed Gareth Thomas and Paul Tito will be playing for the Cardiff Blues next season.

In fact, there is even a possibility that the Welshman will be playing by Febuary, with Peter Thomas trying to arrange an early release from the French club, who followed Cardiff in crashing out of Europe at the first hurdle.

It's actually quite likely to occur now that Tolouse have been dumped out of the competition, Their coach agreed to an early release at the start of the season, but it was blocked by the directors who wanted him available for the Heineken Cup.

However there is devestating news today, prepare yourself.

I can exclusively reveal that Mike Phillips looks very much set to sign for the Leicester Tigers.

The deal is thought to be landing the scrum half £200,000-a-year, a figure and attarction, the Arms Park board couldn't match.

That means Andy Williams is not moving as a second string player, but as the Blues new first choice player.

Also, with the arrival of Gareth Thomas, both Jamie Robinson and Nick Macleod are looking to move to English struglers Northampton.

That would mean that Saturdays 9, 10, 12 and 13 could all be depuarting come the end of the season.

Ceri Sweeney's move looks pretty much set, with Pater Thomas also saying he expected 3 or 4 more players to arrive with Tito and Alfie.

However, he also stated over the weekend that he expectes most of the players with contracts expiring at the end of the season to resign, casting doubt over the above exits.
